The Zouaves were an elite infantry regiment in the French National Army in the 19th Century. They were among the most highly decorated regiments and were widely recognized for their colorful uniforms. Several other countries developed their own Zouave regiments including both sides of the American Civil War.

This color composition by Will Huff captures the pageantry and prestige of The Zouaves. This lively concert march is ideal for introducing younger bands to the marches of the early 20th Century. Huff’s original composition was written to be accessible to younger players with limited range and developing technique. Editor and Arranger Alan Gregory breathes new life into this classic march with a revised full score and a complete set of parts for the instrumentation of the modern wind ensemble.
